Allows the connection between the secure sector of Terminal 5 and terminals 1 and 3 (boarding pass required). This means that passengers who have a connection for a flight at gates M1-M40 in Terminal 5 can avoid exiting and having to re-enter through the security checkpoint. During the night, this service does not operate, so passengers must exit the secure area and board the ATS train, then re-enter through TSA screening.

Airport Transit System (ATS)
Automated people mover system with a 3-mile (4.8 km) journey, which takes only 10 minutes to complete the trip within the airport complex.
It is a free service that transports passengers to and from terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5, the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF) for rental cars, the F and Kiss 'n' Fly parking lots, and stations for Pace buses and Metra services.
